  I gave them back the plastic membership card, but didn't have the duplicate piece of paper with me, so they said they are only going to give me back $45. I argued this saying that is just a piece of paper. They had the DVD back and the plastic card, so keeping my $5 simply because of the duplicate form that would probably just get thrown in the bin anyway, I couldn't win, so I took my $45 and left.

  I visited this store to hire a DVD for my kids whilst holidaying in Mildura. After making my selection, I took the wrong disc cover to the counter by mistake. The female employee sarcastically said, "are you going to buy that or hire it?"

  I just wanted to hire a single DVD for one night and they obviously know their trading days are limited, so they're trying to rip every dollar they can from people. The thing I can't understand is that they made it so hard and such a complicated process that all I can recommend is don't bother hiring anymore.... Download it.

  Since it was an overnight hire, I returned the DVD the next day. When I asked for my $50 deposit back, they advised me I needed to close the temporary membership before they could give it back. So, I said let's close it.

  After sorting that small mistake out, she advised me I needed to be a member, so since I don't live in Mildura, I was required to become a temporary member for the week and also pay a $50 refundable deposit. I should have left the store empty handed at that stage.

  So I paid the hire cost and filled out my details on the form and handed over the $50 deposit. I was given a membership card and a duplicate piece of paper with the membership details on it.

  A couple of days later, I was heading back in the vicinity of the Video Ezy store, so I took the piece of paper with me to trade it for my $5 back. They said the account has been closed now so you can't have it back.
