  At the work we were there all day in the baking sun fighting off spiders and the odd snake, not to mention the countless scratches and cuts up your arms from the picking.

  I stayed with Tony and i had a great time. If you’re good to him he’ll be good to you. He helped me out in lots of ways and I actually learnt some things. If you’re willing and committed he will get you some good work.

  After working out pay we realised that after deducting rent and transport we each earned $9 for the day! this place is ridiculous please do not go here!! you most certainly will regret it.

  Firstly we had to wait out in the hot sun for 3 hours until we were able to go into our rooms, the rooms were all dirty including the kitchen and bathroom. work started the next day and it was orange picking. We had to pay 10$ each for using a car to drive there without any insurance. It was a one hour drive into the middle of nowhere at 5 o clock in the morning!

  Hi to all fellow Backpackers 95% of visitors are happy here the ones that fall in the 5% group, they won't be happy any where and won't work anywhere, there is always a very good reason why these 5 % don't get a good job . i always say ATTITUDE is everything, also please note some of the rooms are rented out to Larry who is not Mildura Central Backpackers, but uses the same building.and most of the bad reviews are for him and not me

  My two German friends and I travelled to Mildura; what a mistake! We were recommended by a 'friendly Australian' called Jim to stay at central backpackers. we were greeted by Tony the owner who was equally 'friendly' we were told the minimum stay we could book was 1 week and that $200 dollar's was to be paid upfront $50 of this was for the deposit.
